The Princeton Police Department was formed in 1877. Constable William Martin was elected and the village of Princeton had it’s first law enforcement figure. The Police Department has been housed at 705 2nd St. N since it moved from 206 Rum River Drive S (next to Bremer Bank) in 1994. Brian Payne was recently selected as the new Chief of Police in May of 2007.
