DRE
The Princeton Police Department has a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) on its staff of patrol officers.  This officer went through extensive training and practice to be able to determine if an individual is under the influence of a controlled substance, and also to determine what type of substance is present.  The DRE is most often used in cases of DWI where the driver is impaired by something other than alcohol, such as prescription or illicit drugs.
